First time manager

It is a moment of pride when you are promoted to become a manager. The confidence the management shows in you is re-assuring. However, it is imperative for a young manager not to get carried away by the sudden flow of power and responsibilities. In my little decade long experience, I have had the opportunity to groom some really talented individuals for their managerial role. I must admit, most of them are very good in it today. And it is mostly because of their capabilities than my directions.

CFEngine new book - Authored by a friend

Writing a blog after a long time. Honestly, didn't have any motivation to do so for such a long time ! But, come to think of it, i love writing down my random thoughts. Some of it should make sense to someone and should be of some help.
So, this first post, which I would like to call..my comeback post, is for a friend who recently got his first book published.

Buzzzzzz what's new

what's [in] the new buzz ?? Does it add value? or is it just another redundant app. I thought google was bit late in coming up with this new feature. Never mind the legal hurdles. It missed a trick by shying away from interoperability. The fact is interoperability is the buzz word and "buzz" decides to ignore it. Sigh ! Another interesting fact is buzz allows you to connect with twitter by allowing you to import twitter posts to buzz..BUT doesn't add your buzz posts onto twitter. Beats me!

Certified Scrum Master!

Got Certified as a Scrum Master now. Had been planning to get one for a long time. Never got an opportunity though. With pete [deemer] conducting a training workshop in gurgaon, i didn't want to miss this opportunity. It is relatively rare that he conducts training in the ncr.

CVnotes - professional micro blog

We made a very interesting concept live yesterday. Naukri.com - CVnotes. On the lines of the twitter concept, its your own professional microblog. And the kind of notes i've seen so far are bang-on. Exactly what we wanted. Jobseekers are not waiting for the CV to be updated on the jobsites. They just add it to the CVnotes and ... recruiters can view them in seconds. I am a very happy man today. The concept has been developed into a product and it is live for millions of jobseekers to use. Very satisfying.
