Intelligent FM player

Your favorite song can change your mood to pep you up. I usually listen to FM radio on my way to & from office like many others. Unfortunately these FM stations always repeatedly play the latest tracks. So i keep switching between different channels to check if any of these are playing any of my favorites. It often gets difficult and by the time you reach the right channel playing your song, the song is almost over.

Anonymity on social networks

With the social, professional and all kinds of network sites gaining popularity in the last 4-5 years, it is not uncommon to find people having their profiles on more than one of such websites. Users are content with the assurances given by these websites that their personal information will not be shared with others untill the profile itself is made public. And assume that our personal identities are safe and not shared with others.

There is so much hype about twitter and everyone wants to be part of the twitter environment in one way or the other. There is so much hype in the media about its increasing user base and the kind of services that can be built around it. Thats great !
However, how many of us are aware that we have had our own twitter like application in india for a while, which works on the sms and community model. And hey wait; some claim that it has bigger user base (2-3 times more) than twitter.

drupal 6

IBM Blue spruce

IBM is planning to launch a browser platform, which will allow mashup of services and help communicate all from within the browser. Cool! so do we see this guy replacing the desktop? Not really, but it is a big step towards providing users with services without having to install anything. There are two pieces to Blue Spruce platform - the Project Blue Spruce Co-Web Server and the Project Blue Spruce Client Toolkit. This will facilitate users to collaborate and communicate from within the browser. The platform uses ajax & xmpp and can work on Firefox and IE6 & above.

After html 4 was recommended by W3C in 1997, the internet world has come a long way. With the web 2.0 influence, there are things which are done on internet in a more standard manner than before. It is therefore not a surprise that the the upcoming version of html will support some of the popular features.
